Daniel "The Lumberjack" Norton

First of all we want to thank you for allowing us this interview
-yeah, of course, anytime!

What is your nickname and if you do have a nickname how did you get it?
-Eh, I kinda do, I was called "The Lumberjack" for a while, the reason being that one day we were at the gym and working on our takedowns...first one to take the other guy down wins, winner stays in, there were about 15 big guys there that day and I stayed in for about 30 rounds...So my coach at that time said I was like a lumberjack cutting all those guys down...don't know if it will stick but it is pretty original and I like it so...maybe it will.

How do you seperate fighting and your personal life?
-Just recently I have started learning how to do this, when I first started fighting thats all I wanted to talk about and all I wanted to be looking at on the computer and watching on TV and eventually I realized that I was getting obsessed... it became stressful believe it or not. So I am learning that to stop that stress I train like a robot at the gym, Toe-2-Toe in Hiram, GA. and when I am elsewhere I am Daniel, I like fighting, the beach, my Jeep, my Truck, my family, basketball, movies, cooking, football, music you know. But recently my brother has been coming with me to the gym just hang out and watch me train so I know that I have that support from home as well to do this.

Joe "The Show" Cronin

What is your nickname and if you do have a nickname how did you get it?

My name is Joe "The Show" my friends gave it to me because I have exciting fights and rhymes with my name lol

Why fight MMA?

I am a competitive person and I feel this is the most competitive thing you can do. No Equipment, No Team, Your body vs Another Body and not limiting yourself to just using your hands lol

Who is the best MMA fighter in your opinion?

I would have to say GSP he is a really good on the ground and standing and seems to put in work before the fight in the gym.

Phillipe Gentry

What is your nickname and if you do have a nickname how did you get it? I have a few nicknames. The 2 I hear the most are Phillie which is just short for Phillipe I guess.  The second one is Tagarella which means chatterbox in Portuguese.  Apparently, I talk a lot.

How do you separate fighting and your personal life?  The difficulty for me is not separating from my personal life as much as separating it from my professional life.  My wife and son are supportive of me fighting.  However, I'm still responsible for supporting them financially.  I run a couple of start up companies right now on top of selling real estate which is my primary income. All of my start ups are Jiu Jitsu and MMA related but, real estate obviously is not.  So, I have to put on my game face and go sell homes until some of my other businesses take off.  My other companies are Lutador Grappling, Wicked Jitsu and I just partnered up with my stand up coach and another partner to open up Eagle Fighting Systems which is a MMA gym here in GA.
