How did the brand get started?
Tyler and I (Darren) were sitting around one day talking about MMA as we usually do. The subject shifted from fighter’s to the clothing. We both agreed that the quality of 90% of the MMA clothing lines out there was weak.. Paying close to $80 for a shirt that would fall apart after 6-8 months and only several washes! We saw a hole in the industry and wanted to take advantage of it. Hardcore Fighter was born.

How did the company create the logo?
We really don’t have a set
“logo.” HF in a cool font is probably our logo right now. We have mainly gone
with typeset, which
What types of MMA gear do you produce?
Currently we are going with t-shirts as they are the bread and butter of any
good MMA clothing company. The difference will be quality as I mentioned. We
have always strived on customer service in our other companies and we don’t
want angry consumers calling about shirts falling apart in the future. As well
as the t-shirts, one of our main focuses will be a women’s line. We are
starting with “Dark Angel” which popped into my head one day. It is actually
just as popular as the men’s tee’s…maybe even more popular?! There will be a
version 2 of “Dark Angel” which for now will only be an internet only purchase.
Both version #1 and #2 are awesome women’s shirts!
We are also doing a limited
run of MMA shorts which we are trying to get approved by the commission and the
UFC. The shorts are very comfortable and have received rave reviews!
Let’s see. Hoodies, beenies
and hats are all very close to production as well. Anything popular you will
see from Hardcore Fighter! Rashguards, gloves…endless really.
On a side note, we have a
special gift for people from us as a thank-you – but you would have to order to
find out what it is!
Who is involved in your company’s success?
Tyler and I started the company.

Are there other aspects of your business
you’d like to share?
Like a “parent” company – Hardcore Athletics Inc. has other clothing lines. The
name Hardcore has been trademarked and is applied to other clothing unrelated
to our MMA line. There is Hardcore Motorsports, Hardcore Athletics and
Devotion. Devotion is a ladies’ active wear that comes in 2 sizes 0-10 and
12-18, like Lululemon but better quality for less money. There is also L4 which
is a line of casual compression wear like UnderArmour. Both Devotion and L4
products are proprietary fabric with special features like UPF 50+ anti
bacterial, moisture wicking and lastly ANTI-insect. This means it repels
mosquitoes, flies, sand knats and fruit flies. The L4 technology is where we
will be getting the rash guards from for the Hardcore Fighter line!
Is there another direction or any other
areas you’d like to take the brand?
Yes, lots. Globally we are working on setting up a distributor in
What should we look for in the future?
To see Hardcore Fighter clothing
on various fighters in the octagon and in training facilities. We expect big
things and know the people that buy and wear our clothing will be very happy
with the quality and the price!
